[[ContentsTable]] is a wiki macro meant to simplify maintenace of contents tables. Prior to the addition of this macro, contents tables were created and maintained by hand, which is an error-prone and very tedious task. Now you can simply place this macro wherever you want it in the page body and upon rendering it will be replaced with a nicely formated list created by collecting the text of all the headings on the page. During the process, bulletted numbering is added to both headings and the contents table, and reference links are also generated completely automatically. In short, it's extremely useful.
