Blackbox Translations

Translating Blackbox means having the context menus (for toolbar, slit and windows), the workspace menus as well as the configuration subsection of the main menu available in languages other than English.

NOTE: For the time being, the first 0.70 release will not have i18n, which means it will only be available in English. This is due to the "release often, release early" concept. i18n will be added back in a following release, at which time translations will also have to be adapted from 0.65.
1 Existing translations and their authors
2 How to contribute

1) Existing translations and their authors

A list of the currently available translations is visible by browsing the CVS, at the following address: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/blackboxwm/blackbox/nls/

The authors of these translations are listed in the AUTHORS file in CVS, under "nls contributors": http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/blackboxwm/blackbox/AUTHORS?view=markup

2) How to contribute

In case you want to fix an existing translation, grab the appropriate subdirectory from either CVS or a recent enough release of Blackbox (see DownloadBlackbox or BlackboxCVS).

If you want to create a new translation, grab the C/ subdirectory.

Edit the *.m files and replace existing text, in English or in the language you targeted, with your own version.

Make sure not to remove special formatting, such as [exec], %s, \n or line-start indicators.

Once you're done, pack your files in an archive and submit them using the patches tracker (see BlackboxDevelopment). Actually submitting them in diff format is not required, but of course it would help a lot if you did it.
