Some action on the user mailing list has prompted updates in several places. NetBSD (as well as pkgsrc) users will be glad to find out that Blackbox 0.70.x*, bbkeys 0.9.x* and bbpager 0.4.x* are now available as standalone packages, separate from the old, 0.65-compatible, versions.
The migration of the user mailing list took longer than planned, but it is now back up. -- CiprianPopovici
The server hosting the user mailing list will be off-line between 8-17th of May, worst case scenario, but will possibly come back before the 17th. Jamin, who's hosting the list, is moving during that period. -- CiprianPopovici
An update might be in order so that people don't think we've died or deserted en masse. I'm still around, tending to the site. I might even write another documentation page or two if I get the time. Brad is very busy and he hasn't worked on Blackbox in months, so I guess we've officially entered one of the low (as in zero) development cycles. We'll get out of that whenever he feels the calling again.
On the bright side, there have been a couple of interesting patches proposed. Johannes Winkelmann offered one that implements text and button shadows*, and Keith Maika made a configurable toolbar via format string*.

Welcome to 2006, fellow Blackbox users. I've moved the 2005 news to their own page, as you can see. As a special bonus for the new year, I found some time these past few days and I've written extensive contents for BlackboxDocumentation/BlackboxConfiguration. It now has almost all you wanted to know about configuring Blackbox. If it doesn't, you know where the "edit" link is. ;) --CiprianPopovici
