Blackbox Documentation/Blackbox Styles/Style Installation
What exactly is involved in installing a style, from downloading it from the Internet to actually enjoying it on your desktop.
FIXME: More content needed
If the style author followed the suggestions in the documentation, installing a style is simple. The styles must be unzipped or de-tarred from their archives, so Blackbox can read them. Put the files from the extracted styles/ directory to your ~/.blackbox/styles/ directory and the files in the backgrounds/ directory to your ~/.blackbox/backgrounds directory.
A good practice in *nix is to create a symbolic link to the backgrounds directory, with the name Backgrounds (as *nix systems are case-sensitive regarding filenames and directory names). The reason for this link is that sometimes, style creators use the capitalised version (i.e. Backgrounds) and not the lowercase version (i.e. backgrounds) in the rootCommand that sets the background image. So, after creating the ~/.blackbox/backgrounds directory, this would keep you on the safe side:
cd ~/.blackbox ln -s backgrounds Backgrounds
Style files can run arbitrary executables. Before you use or try a style, read its style file, and make sure that its rootCommand doesn't do anything malicious.
After a style is installed, its entry should appear in the style menu immediately.
